Whoopwhoop!
Whoopwhoop!
Ok I’ve decided to stop pining after things I want and instead set dates to work towards buying them.
With the pay I get out of BMT, I intend to purchase a Zoom B3 through the church (additional 10% discount). This will solve most of my effects and amp needs with the amp simulator and all. Always wanted a pedalboard with heaps of analog pedals on it but my pockets don’t go too deep these days.
I should be getting this loving multi effects stompbox in a month or two. Will look lovely next to my Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion and the Korg Pitchblack Tuner that are on my board as of now hehehehe
And then I’ve always wanted a Fender Jazz bass, because it’s sexy. The jazz neck’s a whole lot faster than mine too. But after awhile I thought, hey why not get a cheap SX vintage jazz, buy a kickass amp, and it’ll still sound amazing! Amps do play an important role after all. But there’s no point in keeping a kickass amp at home right? And I’m not going to lug it to church. BUT, since I’d have a Zoom B3 by then, my amp worries are technically taken care of! I can now buy a $290 SX vintage, stick a fender jazz neck on it, change those trashy stock pups and it should sound ah-mazing~ Alternatively, I could just walk into Guitar Connection and grab the 80s Fender Jazz for $1.3k, all relic-ed and all. I don’t think the price would differ much from said custom SX anyway. Bloody hell, the branded parts at GC cost a bomb.
But SX or Fender, I shall stay true to my dearest Sterling for now and keep practicing (not that I’ll have much time for that anyway). Will only prepare to dig out my pockets next year when NS has replenished my money reserves.
4 days till our first ever live performance as Fourthwall.
As you can see from the sneak peak of our rehearsal below, we’re totally ready and sounding tight. #sarcasm.
But I believe it’ll all be good and it’s gonna be an awesome experience for all 5 of us. What’s better than playing good…

Remind me of what I should be
Remind me of the things to come
And the things inside, that I have read
Would they come alive and fill me instead
To be with you and leave behind, everything
And what does it take to, believe, in, what I don’t see
Tossed in the ocean, I reach out my hand
And you took me in
Faraway from the pain
Felt a love that, went out of this world and right back in me
And it touched me to know
That I’m royalty with you

That’s about all I’ve written for this song. Still considering writing a bridge and I haven’t gone around to arranging it properly yet but at least the melody and chords are down.
It’s called “Emily’s Song” because the lyrics were inspired by a testimony that Emily Wood gave in church the other day.
